主 题：Are doctors rational under ambiguity?
讲座摘要： We compare ambiguity attitudes of doctors and non-doctors towards the future severity of the COVID-19 pandemic and the stock market performance using the revealed-preference approach. We find that doctors are more neutral towards ambiguity than non-doctors. We discuss the results’ implications to ambiguity neutrality’s rationale under different interpretations. These results can explain laypeople’s non-compliance with health regulations and experts’ advice from a cognitive perspective, and highlight that reducing the likelihood insensitivity of laypeople is essential in closing the belief gap between experts and the general public.

刘宁，北京航空航天大学经济管理学院助理教授，北航低碳治理与政策智能实验室骨干成员。荷兰鹿特丹伊拉斯姆斯大学（Erasmus University Rotterdam）行为经济学博士，主要研究领域为个人和群体决策，重点关注风险与不确定性及公平观念。曾在意大利米兰博科尼大学（Bocconi University）开展博士后研究，致力于通过行为经济学方法解决气候变化相关问题，促进可持续发展。主持国家自然科学基金青年项目“专家模糊性态度的作用机制及其形成因素：理论模型与实地实验”。研究成果在Nature Climate Change, Journal of Information Technology, Environmental and Resource Economics, Journal of Risk and Uncertainty, Theory and Decision等国际权威期刊上发表。
